Hello! My name is Jeremy, and I’m excited to welcome you to our unique tattoo accommodation. With over a decade of experience as a tattoo artist and a passion for travel, I’ve had the pleasure of working in studios around the world. In 2015, I opened Elysian Tattoo Co. here in Fremantle, and in 2024, I acquired this building to create Hoochimama—a special space designed with guest artists in mind. Accommodation Details:

At the back of the studio, we offer four rooms for your stay, accessible only via a PIN code door, ensuring privacy for our guests:  

- **Three rooms** feature a bunk bed setup with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top (sleeps 3).  

- **One room** has a double ensemble bed (sleeps 2), which we try to reserve for long-term guests.

Pricing: 

- **3-night minimum stay.**  

- All rooms are priced at **$60 per night** or **$30 per person** if you wish to share a room (each room sleeps up to 3 people).  

- An additional **$50 cleaning/linen fee per room** is required upfront.  

- Extra bed linen is available at the tenant's cost. If you’re staying for more than 20 days and would like fresh linen, we can provide it for the cost of the laundry service (see the laundry section for details).

Payment Information: 

Please make your payment via cash or bank transfer. In the top drawer of the kitchen area, you’ll find a second drawer inside. Open that, and you’ll see a money box labeled “Accommodation.” Please deposit your accommodation rent fee into this box. If you choose to do a bank transfer, kindly print a screenshot of the transaction and place it in the box for our records. Remember, a **$50 cleaning/linen fee** is required for your stay.

To ensure the privacy and security of our guests, we have installed digital locks for the bedroom and bathroom areas. You should have received your access code. Please keep this code confidential to maintain a secure environment for all our guests.

Kitchen Facilities:  

The kitchen is a shared space with the tattoo studio and artists, serving as both a kitchen and a printing/photo area. You’re welcome to use the fridge and available amenities. On the counter, you’ll find a kettle and a sandwich maker, while all necessary utensils are conveniently stored in the wall cabinet to the left of the sink. Enjoy complimentary coffee, sugar, and tea during your stay! There’s also a microwave for your convenience.

As this is a shared space, we kindly ask that you keep the kitchen area clean. Please dispose of any food items in the bin and wash your dishes after use. Thank you for your cooperation!

Please note that we currently DO NOT have full cooking facilities, but we plan to add a hot plate and breakfast bar in the future for more cooking options. In the meantime, there are plenty of fantastic food options nearby in Fremantle!

Bedrooms:  

Each room is equipped with air conditioning for your comfort. The remote control is conveniently located on the wall next to the bed.

Bathroom:  

The bathroom is shared among all guests. We kindly ask that you return your personal items to your room after use and help keep the bathroom tidy for everyone’s enjoyment.

HOUSE RULES:

No Smoking/Vaping Policy:  

We have a strict no smoking and vaping policy in all areas of the studio, especially in the bedrooms. Due to the lack of natural ventilation and the air circulation system, smoke or vapor can travel into adjacent rooms, setting off smoke detectors.

Damages: 

Please be mindful of damages to the rooms. As we have a tattoo culture among our tenants, we’ve experienced instances where artists have been tattooed and ruined our bed linen. In such cases, we will ask for compensation for the damages, as sheets can be costly to replace.

Respecting the Space:  

We’ve worked hard to create a calming and relaxed environment for artists to unwind after a long day. Please be respectful of fellow guests. No parties or inviting outsiders to the studio, and loud music is not permitted after 10 pm.

Nearest Grocery Store:  

To find the nearest grocery store, exit the front door of the studio, turn left, cross the road, and you’ll find an IGA grocery store inside the large building on the other side.

Public Transport:  

There’s a bus stop conveniently located across the road from the studio. The main train station and bus depot are just a short walk away—head west down Queen Street, and you’ll find them easily!

Laundry Services: 

We do not have laundry facilities on-site. However, there are two nearby laundry services:

     - Single sheet: $20  

     - Pillow slips: $8 each  

Checkout Information:  

Checkout is at **11 am**. We kindly ask that you remove your bed sheets and place them on the floor along with any used towels to help us prepare the room for the next guest. If you would like a later checkout, please ask, and if we don’t have anyone arriving that day, we can usually accommodate you.

About the Studios:  

We operate two tattoo studios:

Elysian Tattoo Co. is conveniently located just around the corner, set up as a private studio space at Unit 40, 27-35 William Street. This studio features 20 artist bays, including 15 resident artist bays and 5 guest artist bays, offering a more private and tranquil environment for clients.

There is a stairwell door that requires a key to unlock. This door is typically opened at 7 am by other businesses on weekdays; however, on Sundays, the tattoo studio is usually the only business operating. You’ll need a key to access the stairwell, and spare keys are available in the top drawer of the kitchen area at Hoochimama.

Hoochimama! is our newest venture, designed as a modern take on a street shop. Currently, it hosts 11 artist bays, with plans to build a loft area in the next two months that will add an additional 5 artist bays. Hoochimama aims to cater to walk-in clients, focusing on vibrant, fun, and traditional-style tattoos in a lively atmosphere. It's all about creating an accessible space for those looking for a spontaneous tattoo experience!

Do you enjoy working in Fremantle? We maintain a consistent rotation of guest artists, but we prioritize protecting our tattooing environment. As a result, we are selective about who we bring in to ensure a steady client flow and a calm atmosphere. Many of our guest artists return regularly, and we also welcome international artists on one-year working visas who make Fremantle their home for that time.
