Save the date! Elysian Tattoo Co's 9th Annual Flash Day will take place on Sunday, May 26th. Join us as we celebrate our love for tattooing and enjoy a fun-filled day together. 

EVENT DETAILS:

Last year, we achieved record-breaking attendance levels, and we anticipate a similar turnout this year. Our continuous goal is to improve the overall experience for all participants. In the previous year, we encountered challenges in promptly booking clients and managing the waiting queue efficiently. Therefore, we are implementing measures to address these issues for this year, aiming to have everyone starting to tattoo their first clients at 9:00 am.

As in previous YEARS, ARTISTS flash sheets will be showcased in the studio windows for customers to preview before we open. Tattoo bookings will be conducted outdoors at the Trestle table to create more space inside the studio, and clients will be informed when the artist is prepared for them. We anticipate another enjoyable event and are excited about participating.

Clients will be required to make a $50 deposit, (CAsh only event) providing their name and contact number to secure their slot. Staff will notify clients 15 minutes before their appointment, maintaining a smooth workflow. If a client misses their slot, the next client will be accommodated promptly.

RATES: 

To ensure a successful event and allow artists to maximize their profits, we will continue with an Artist 80% / Studio 20% split, with the overall studio fee capped at a retainer of $200 to cover all associated costs.

SUPPLIES: 

We will provide all necessary equipment, including chairs, tables, gloves, ink, consumables, arm rests, and lighting.

Artists can choose from two stencil options, an ECO TANK PRINTER and a STANDARD A4 THERMAL COPIER. Our printer can handle 300 gsm archival paper for optimal print quality.

Food, drinks, entertainment, and on-site photography and videography will be provided throughout the day.

On event day, artists are responsible for their own machines, needles, ink, etc.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: 

  1. Please let us know if you would like to join us so that we can confirm the number of artists attending. We will be limiting it to 23 participants this year.

    If you are unable to attend last minute and need to cancel, please inform us promptly. There are other artists eager to participate who may otherwise miss the opportunity.


  2. We asK that you provide your flash sheets priced and designs numbered in the studio window before 8:00 am to increase your chances of bookings.

  3. We expect long lines again this year, therefore having your flash sheets on display early can help clients choose your tattoo design and be at the front of the line so you don’t miss out on potential bookings 

  4. Provide estimates of tattoo time per piece, specify if you accept repeat designs, and indicate any body parts you do not tattoo. This information will help our staff in scheduling appointments efficiently and addressing any concerns. Our goal is to streamline the booking process so that all artists can begin working with their first clients by 9:00 am.

EVENT SCHEDULE: 

Saturday, May 25th:

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Optional setup)

Sunday, May 26th:

7:00 am - 8:30 am: Artist setup and pricing consultation. 

9:00 am: Doors open for client bookings.

11:00am - 5:00pm: DJ will be entertaining the studio
