Dear valued guest,
Dear valued guest,
Thank you for selecting our studio for your upcoming guest spot. We appreciate your choice and look forward to seeing your innovative tattoo designs that you will bring to our studio.
To ensure that your guest spot experience is free of any inconvenience, we have included some additional information that may be useful to you.
STUDIO PAYMENT:
As a guest artist, you will have two options available.
Option 1 is a flat-rate rental of $250 per day.
Option 2 is an artist and studio split of 70% and 30%, respectively.
You are free to select the best option that suits you based on your preferred booking style, client demand, or type of work. Please agree to the studio hire agreement before your first day of work, and your chosen option will be followed throughout the duration of your guest spot.
If you wish to stay with us for a longer period, we welcome guest artists to stay as long as they please.
We have a studio minimum of $250 per hour. We understand that every tattoo artist works and prices differently, so feel free to charge your clients as you wish.
Important notice to international artists: When planning to work in Western Australia, it is imperative that you possess the appropriate visas.
DEPOSITS:
Please be advised that all booking deposits are handled solely between the artist and their clients.
STUDIO PAYMENT:
Please attend to the artist payment invoice book and submit the white copy in the envelope provided in the top drawer located on the left side of the sink in the kitchen area along with your daily studio payment. The top drawer also has a concealed compartment where you can deposit your payments. Spare envelopes and pens are stocked in this area for your convenience. It is imperative that you settle your payment daily, unless alternative arrangements have been made.
Please be reminded that if you have opted for the daily hire payment method, we kindly request that you submit your payment at the conclusion of each working day.
If you are a long-term guest artist and have any questions about taxation, please contact Jeremy, and he can arrange for you to speak with an accountant.
PROMOTION:
As a private studio, our primary source of clientele is through social media. To increase your chances of gaining more clients and raising awareness for your products, we kindly request that you provide us with any additional promotional opportunities that may be available. Additionally, please share clear and high-quality photos and videos of your work as we would be delighted to share them on our social media platforms.
We are keen to feature your work on our instagram page. To maintain the aesthetics of our feed and to align with our brand, WE ONLY SHOWCASE WELL PHOTOGRAPHED CONTENT. We prefer artistic and beautifully captured photos and videos. We refrain from posting pictures where the tattooed limb is resting on armrest or beds and if the background contains unsightly items like dirty bins, etc.
Are you interested in expanding your client base? If any artists would like us to run additional paid ad campaigns through our social media accounts, we have the capability to do so. This can help you reach a larger audience, including our existing followers. If you're interested in arranging this, please let us know. Artists have the option to pay upfront for the campaigns or we can receive payment once the artist starts tattooing at our studio.
GUESTING DATES:
Due to our expanding popularity in hosting guests, we have recently experienced a surge in requests from artists. To ensure that our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience with us, we are taking significant steps to organize and schedule our guests in a balanced manner. We place a high value on our guests' satisfaction and are always on the lookout for opportunities to assist them in growing their client base. We therefore kindly ask that our guests, especially those traveling in groups, provide us with adequate advance notice of their visit dates and complete information regarding their stay plans. This will allow us to manage the guest scheduling process smoothly and efficiently and prevent overcrowding in the studio. It will also assist artists in avoiding conflicting schedules and competing for resources.
"We currently have an average waitlist of 3 months for new guest artists, which also provides ample time for us to promote their arrival."
ARTISTS:
As an artist, you have the responsibility and duty of care towards your clients. All deposits and charges for tattoos are between the artist and the client.
When working in the studio, it's your responsibility to ensure that your workspace is clean and that you adhere to the Western Australian health regulations while tattooing.
Welcome to the studio! Here are some important things to note to help you on your first day:
STUDIO ACCESS:
To access the studio, you will need the code lock combination. This unique code will grant you 24 hour access to the studio. The code will be sent to you the night prior to your arrival. Please keep the code private and refrain from sharing it with others.
WIFI:
To connect to our Wi-Fi, use the following details:
Network: Elysian Tattoo Co

PRINTING AND STENCILS:
At the stencil station area in the studio, we offer two printer options for your convenience. To make use of these printers, please connect to the studio's WIFI network.
Firstly, we have the large FUJIFILM C2570 printer, suitable for everyday printing needs. This printer is perfect for regular printing tasks.
Secondly, we have the EPSON ET-MM2170 printer specifically designed for stencil printing ONLY. If you wish to print a stencil, please ensure that your design is mirrored on your iPad before initiating the print job.
In addition to the printers, we also provide an A4 THERMAL COPIER for creating stencils.
We offer the standard Spirit stencil paper or the Hand Stencil paper for those wanting to create hand stencils. Furthermore, you will find stencil application cream at your workstation for applying the stencils.
CLIENT CONSENT FORM:
The consent form can be found on the iPad in the front waiting room. According to Western Australian law, it is necessary for your client to complete this consent form prior to beginning the tattoo.
STUDIO:
To find the Consumable Storage Area, go to the central kitchen area in the studio. Inside the cabinets there, you'll find all the studio consumables. Look for the black wall cabinet facing the back area, as it will contain gloves and bed sheets.
For waste disposal and contamination management, make your way to the room located behind the stencil station. There, you will find a sharps container, a large waste bin, and extra cleaning products.
- We provide the following consumables: artist bay, lighting, gloves, bed sheets, paper towel, Vaseline, razors, ink caps, pop sticks, cling-wrap, machine/clip cord/wash bottle bags, wash and spray bottles, and stencil paper.
- However, we do not supply machines, power packs, needles, or colored inks. We can supply dynamic black ink and stencil liquid on request.
-The keys for the toilets, which are accessible to both clients and staff, are hanging on the left side of the printer. Upon leaving through the front door, the toilets are located to the left and can be accessed by passing through the cage gate. It's important to remember to lock the cage gate once you're finished using the facilities.
- All armrests in the studio are communal, and there are a few tattoo trays on wheels available for use.
- Additional consumables are in the kitchen area or adjoining cabinets.
-Above the printer, you will find two stencil machine options - the Epson inkjet printer and the thermal copier. If you wish to print a stencil directly from your iPad using the Epson inkjet printer, please make sure to mirror the image before printing.
-For photography of your tattoos, we offer ring lights, LED panel lights, polarized film, and lens caps specifically for artists to use when taking photos. We'd be thrilled if you chose to tag us in any social media posts, as we enjoy featuring well-photographed pieces with either a clean or blurred background.
- Dispose of needles in the sharps container located above the sink in the sterilization room behind the printer/stencil area. We also have a large yellow contaminated waste bin, ultra sonic, and autoclave in that room.

PHOTOS:
Seeking the ideal location for capturing stunning photos of your tattoo? Artists are venturing into different imaginative spaces to shoot their photos, yet the front room remains a popular choice. Within this space, you'll discover a range of lighting options for artists, including ring lights and LED camera lights, all equipped with CPL film. Don't hesitate to switch off any studio lights to set a desired atmosphere or utilize the remote control to activate the electric drop-down sheets for added visual appeal.
SUPPLIES:
There are a couple of tattoo suppliers in Perth at the moment, although most of the resident artists prefer to purchase their supplies from Melbourne. In order to assist visiting artists who may require certain items such as needles and adhesive bandages, we maintain a small stock of such supplies that artists can purchase. We advise interested individuals to contact us in advance to check on the availability of specific items and their corresponding prices prior to arrival.
OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES:
Our studio opens its doors to artists seven days a week, with artist arrival time at 10:00am and client opening time at 11:00am as per our studio's standard operating hours. To prevent any disturbance to our cleaning schedules, we kindly ask that artists do not start seeing clients before the specified time. Although most of our resident artists work from Tuesday to Saturday, we have a large studio with someone present on Sundays and Mondays as well.
To gain access to the studio on sunday, there is a door located in the stairwell that remains locked on Sundays. If you are planning to work on a Sunday, kindly inform us in advance so that we can make arrangements for staff to be present or provide you with a key for entry.
- At the end of each day, please empty your waste bin into the large yellow contaminated bin, turn off the artist light, and stack your chair on the bed to help our apprentices with their cleaning duties.
- Artists are welcome to Tattoo till late. To close up the studio, turn off all lights and air conditioner. Please ensure that both doors are securely locked. The music will turn itself off. No key is needed as the front door has a deadlock.
-If you need studio keys, they can be provided on request.
- If you need any further assistance, our apprentices are ready to help you. You can also contact Jeremy at 0400237637.
TATTOOING SOMEONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18:
At our studio, we have a policy of not tattooing individuals below the age of 18.
As per the laws of Western Australia, it is a punishable offense to tattoo or brand anyone under the age of 17. In case of any exception for minors below the age of 18, it is required written consent from their parent or guardian who must also be present during the tattoo appointment. Any violation of these regulations could lead to a fine of $12,000 and up to one year of imprisonment.
FRIENDS:
Can clients bring their friends to our studio? We have limited space available, especially for large groups of friends. We kindly request that clients limit the number of friends they bring to their appointments to just one.
MERCHANDISE AND AFTERCARE SALES:
Please use our iPad for all merchandise and aftercare sales. On the iPad, you can find an app represented by a grey square icon. This app is used for all sales of stock in the front waiting room. If you are unsure how to use it, please don't hesitate to ask our staff for assistance.
FREMANTLE:
To make your Fremantle experience even more unforgettable during your stay at Elysian Tattoo Co, be sure to visit the iconic Fremantle Markets! The markets are a must-see and operate every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The nearby café strip, pubs and clubs, beach and Fremantle Prison are all within walking distance from the studio, making them incredibly accessible. For those late-night cravings, there are several restaurants that stay open till late, perfect for a midnight snack. If you find yourself with a spare day, take a trip to Rottnest Island, where you can explore the island and meet the famous quokkas. The ferry to Rottnest Island departs from Fremantle every morning between 7 am - 8 pm and returns around 4pm - 5pm.
