FAQ

  • As Elysian is a private studio, bookings are by appointment only and are to be made directly with each artist. If you would like to be tattooed at Elysian head to our Artist page, select your artist and contact them by emailing them direct.

  • Head to our Guest Artists page and contact the artist direct.

  • Each artist’s schedule and availability varies. Generally artists open their books approximately 3 months in advance and will usually announce on social media when their books are open. Make sure you follow your selected artist on Facebook and Instagram to remain up to date with their diary openings.

  • Each artist sets their own pricing. To receive a quote for your tattoo, contact your selected artist direct and provide the design idea, size and placement for your tattoo.

  • Deposits are required on all bookings. Your artist will inform you of the deposit required – generally deposits range from $50 for small pieces up to $1000 for multi-day large scale pieces.

Bookings cannot be held without a deposit!

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be tattooed in Australia. Photo I.D. will be requested upon arrival to your booking.

  • We strictly do not tattoo women while they are pregnant. While we take every precaution possible to prevent infection, tattooing involves opening the skin which means there will always be an unavoidable small risk. If this were to happen it could result in pregnancy loss or passing a virus on to your newborn. It’s simply not worth the risk.

On top of that, due to the stretching of the skin involved with pregnancy there is a chance that the tattoo could end up disfigured due to significant changes occurring to the skin surface.

  • No

  • Due to their heavy workload, your artist will generally draw your design the night before your session. They will present your design upon your arrival.

  • First things first: We are a very tight-knit team that like to uphold a positive and fun energy in the studio. Expect some classic banter to be thrown across the room… and don’t be afraid to join in!

We ask that all clients arrive on time to their booking, if not 10 minutes earlier. Upon arrival we will ask that you complete a consent form before beginning your session.

Once you and your artist have confirmed your design, they will apply your stencil and get you in their chair to start tattooing.

Refreshments will be available to you throughout your session. Longer sessions may often include a short lunch break, and there are a variety of food outlets in Fremantle for you to choose from. We also have a fridge should you wish to bring your own food and refreshments.

All our tattoo stations have a television with Netflix available to them, and there is normally music playing throughout the studio. You are welcome to bring your own entertainment devices if you wish (headphones, iPad, etc.).

  • Your artist will run you through how to care for your tattoo after your session. We also have Tattoo Aftercare brochures available for you to take home with you.
